About me

Yoga

My ethos is simple: I aim to give you a much needed pause from the stress of everyday life, to slow down, let go of the day, and feel grounded in the present moment. 

Practising yoga personally for over a decade, it has helped me find balance in my life, even during turbulent times. The benefits I have gained are something I would love to help my yoga students explore, supporting their personal journey through helping them to connect breath, movement and meditation and see their sense of well-being improve both on and off the mat.

I am a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), certified by Yoga Alliance International and I am situated in Surrey. 

I am trained in Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin styles of yoga. My classes are strong, slow flows, often holding asanas (yoga poses) for a few breaths, with a focus on connecting our breath with movement for a calming experience that helps build strength, stamina, flexibility and you will hopefully leave my classes feeling relaxed and renewed, both physically and mentally.

My classes are friendly, inclusive and I provide lots of alternatives and modifications, making them suitable for all abilities.

I also offer 1:1 sessions, tailored to your personal goals, issues or injuries, whether you are looking to tone and strengthen, relieve muscular tension, or perhaps you’re looking to find a sense of wellbeing in your life.

Executive and Life Coaching

I am passionate about helping people realise their full potential throughout their life and take a holistic approach, taking into account the key areas that make up someone's life, from career, health, relationships, community and personal development. With a Diploma in Professional Coach-Mentoring through the Oxford School of Coaching & Mentoring (OCM), I have coached senior executives and managers in the commercial and public sector, to overcome barriers to achieving success in their career and life. I have also worked with individuals looking for a career change, or who feel 'stuck' and demotivated, or want to find balance in their life.

Every Wednesday (Online Session)

Hatha class. £5 ‘Pay as You Go’ or you can block pay for the month ahead and get one class for free.

 

One to One Sessions

Clare's Wednesday yoga is one of the true highlights of my week. Clare is a natural teacher, so calm, reassuring and supportive in every pose. The classes are a lovely mixture of challenging poses for creating strength and for those more advanced, and moderated moves for those still learning. It really does suit all. Clare explains the benefits of each pose and always sets a tone or theme each week, whether that's core strength or tension release. The wind-down and savasana at the end is total bliss. This is my weekly sanity staple.

Clare is a fantastic and kind yoga teacher - she explains things really well and has made the poses accessible to me as a beginner but also offers adaptations for more advanced practice as you progress. Since starting yoga with Clare I've become more flexible and have strengthened my core.
